The LLAMAMOBILE is a 1990 FORD E350 Cube Van, powered by
a Ford 460 cubic inch fuel injected V8. The 14 foot long
cargo box is equipped with a heavy rubber floor covering,
to prevent llamas from sliding around. Ventilation is
provided by louvers in the back door, plus electric fans
inside the van. Dual auxillary batteries provide power to
the fans and other accesories, leaving the main battery
free to start the engine.
Up front is a Galaxy 88 AM/FM/SSB CB/HAM radio, to keep
tabs on whats gong on up ahead when out on the highway.
Usually on Channel 19 of the CB band, and occationally
on SSB the 10 meter ham band (as amateur station: WA1NIC)
Next to the Galaxy CB radio is a commercial VHF High Band
radio, for use on the farm frequency, and occationally
switched over to the 2 meter FM ham band.
