About the LlamaCam:
The LlamaCam was set up basically so I could keep an eye on Cinders during
her last few weeks of pregnancy from work. I want to be here when the baby
is born!
The LlamaCam is a Connectix QuickCam VC, with a 12 foot extension cable,
connected to my Pentium 90 PC's parallel port.
The software to capture and upload is "ISPY"
tips for keeping your system from crashing after long hours of operation:
Turn off any un-needed programs. With Win95, do a CTRL-ALT-DEL, and turn off everything
but "explorer" (which is the program name for Windows95).
Use latest and greatest version of the video driver for YOUR Video card.
If needed, slow down or turn off Hardware Video Acceleration
Run ScanDisk weekly
After doing all of the above, mine now runs all day (usually). If you run a
WebCam, and found out any tricks to keeping it stable - let me know. I will add
it (with credit) to this list).

UPDATE...2/2002
The Pentium 90 finally got so overloaded and ran so slow that I thought it would soon start
running backwards.
I built a new system... ABIT motherboard, Duron 1.2 gig processor, lots of fans,
replaced the parallel port cam with a QuickCam USB version, which allows a longer
cable with a hub or two in the line.
The new system seems a bit more stable so far :-)
